Tasting - Santa Julia Malbec Sustainable 2012
Photo:
Name: Santa Julia Malbec Sustainable
Variety: Malbec
Region: Mendoza
Country: Argentina
Year: 2012
Price: $8.95
Shop/wine critic/winery review:
The nose is full of mellow raspberry and cherry, while the palate is fleshy and round, with blackberry and a touch of raisin. Plump, not edgy, and ready to drink, with coffee and mocha notes on the finish.
My Review:
This wine presents a dark crimsony color and red fruit jam (specifically raspberry and cherry) on the nose. Upon tasting, this wine is a little smokey and oaky, has strong tannins, and a nice finish of blackberry, but I didn't find it to be terribly complex. An nice ok wine. 76-77/100
