Tasting - Indwe Sauvignon Blanc 2012
Photo:
Name: Indwe Sauvignon Blanc
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Region: Western Cape
Country: South Africa
Year: 2012
Price: $7.95
Shop/wine critic/winery review:
Grapes are meticulously sourced from our grape producers along the Coastal region of the Western Cape ensuring complexity and freshness in the wine. Indwe Sauvignon Blanc is full of layers, balance and persistence. The wine is imbued with tropical and citrus notes, with hints of melon and gooseberry flavors.
My Review:
This wine has a slightly pale of clear color and a sour citrusy nose. Upon tasting, the wine is a little dry and fruit on the start, leading to a dry lasting finish. Hints of orange and lemon zest are present, as well as a little melon (especially lasting in the finish). This wine has a relatively light body and is reasonably pleasant. 79-80/100
